1. General Information
The protection of your personal data is important to us. We process your data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection provisions, in particular the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), and the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG). This privacy policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have.
As a medical practice, we are additionally bound by medical confidentiality (Section 203 of the German Criminal Code, StGB). No health or treatment data is processed via this website; online appointment booking takes place through an external provider (see Section 11).
2. Hosting
Our website is hosted by Wix.com Ltd. and its processors. When you visit the website, the hosting provider processes technically necessary data (IP address, access times, browser and device data, meta/communication data). This may involve a transfer of data to the United States; such transfers are based on the European Commission's adequacy decision on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR) and supplementary Standard Contractual Clauses.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and stable provision of the website). A data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) is in place with the hosting provider.
3. Collection of General Access Data (Server Log Files)
When the website is accessed, data is automatically recorded in server log files: browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, host name of the accessing computer, time of the server request, and IP address. This data serves the security and stability of operations, is stored temporarily, and is not merged with other data sources.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
4. Consent Management (Usercentrics)
To obtain and manage your consent to technologies that require consent, we use the consent management platform Usercentrics (Usercentrics GmbH, Sendlinger Straße 7, 80331 Munich, Germany). A consent banner is displayed when you access the website. Services requiring consent are only loaded after you have given your consent. In this process, your consent decision, date and time, device information, and a pseudonymous consent ID are processed as proof of consent (Art. 7(1) GDPR).
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future via the permanently displayed icon at the bottom left of the page.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR (legal obligation to provide proof of consent) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
5. Cookies
This website uses technically necessary cookies (for operation and security) and — only after your consent — cookies and comparable technologies for statistics and marketing purposes (see Sections 6 to 9). Technically necessary cookies are set on the basis of Section 25(2) TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. All other cookies are set only with your consent (Section 25(1) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR); you can withdraw this consent at any time via the cookie settings.
6. Google Analytics 4
After your consent, we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to analyze the use of the website (e.g., pages visited, time spent, device used, approximate location). The IP address is not logged, or is processed only in truncated form.
The data may be transferred to servers of Google LLC in the United States. This transfer is based on the adequacy decision on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, under which Google is certified. We have concluded data processing terms with Google in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent). You can withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings.
7. Google Ads Conversion-Tracking
We place advertisements via Google Ads (Google Ireland Limited). After your consent, we measure whether users perform certain actions on the website after clicking on one of our ads (e.g., clicking the appointment booking button or contacting us by phone via the ad). No health data and no information about treatment concerns are transmitted to Google; only neutral interaction with the website is measured.
Without your consent, no conversion tracking takes place. Section 6 applies accordingly to data transfers to the United States and data processing agreements.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent). You can withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings.
8. Google Maps
To display directions, we embed Google Maps (Google Ireland Limited) after your consent. In this process, your IP address and, where applicable, location data are transmitted to Google. Without consent, the map is not loaded; you will see a placeholder instead.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).
9. Meta-Pixel (Facebook)
After your consent, we use the Meta Pixel of Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Ireland, to measure the effectiveness of advertisements on Meta platforms. In this process, pseudonymized usage data may be transmitted to Meta and linked to your Meta account; a transfer to the United States is possible (EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework). A joint controllership agreement (Art. 26 GDPR) is in place with Meta for the collection and transfer of data.
Without your consent, the pixel is not loaded.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent). You can withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings.
10. Contact Form and Email Contact
If you contact us via the contact form or by email, we process the information you provide (name, email address, message) to handle your inquiry and for follow-up questions. Please do not send sensitive health data via the contact form; for medical concerns, please use the appointment booking system or call us.
Legal bases: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract / pre-contractual measures), Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in efficient communication). The data will be deleted as soon as the purpose no longer applies and no statutory retention obligations prevent deletion.
11. Online Appointment Booking (Arzt-direkt.de)
For online appointment booking, we link to the patient portal "Arzt-direkt" (zollsoft GmbH, Engelplatz 8, 07743 Jena, Germany). The booking takes place outside our website at app.arzt-direkt.de. The privacy policy of Arzt-direkt / zollsoft applies to the data processing there. The treatment relationship only comes into existence upon booking; the data collected there is subject to medical confidentiality.
12. Newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we process your email address to send you health information from the practice. Registration takes place using the double opt-in procedure; you will only receive the newsletter after confirming your registration. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the unsubscribe link at the end of each email.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).
13. Your Rights
You have the right at any time to access your data (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR). You may withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR).
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is:
Der Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Rheinland-Pfalz (State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Rhineland-Palatinate) Hintere Bleiche 34 55116 Mainz, Germany www.datenschutz.rlp.de
14. Currency and Amendment of this Privacy Policy
This privacy policy is dated July 17, 2026. We will update it if legal requirements or the services we use change.
